Keith Urban

7/22/11

My mom won free tickets to see Keith Urban off of WITL.  Lucky for me, my dad had zero interest in seeing him.  We went to the B93 pre- party at the BOB before heading over to the concert.  Although our seats weren't the best we had a great time.  I really enjoyed the opening act Jake Owen, and Keith Urban was amazing.  My mom's camera took much better pictures than mine, as she has a max zoom.  Here are some of mine/her pictures from the concert:

A night at the Anderson's

7/21/11

Last week's heat was absolutely brutal.  We went over to the Anderson's on Thursday night to enjoy their wonderfully cool air conditioned house.  Nikkia made us some delicious chicken (looking forward to getting the recipe and trying it out), corn, and potatoes.  The boys had a great time playing together while we enjoyed some nice adult time as well.

Owen loved this truck!

Noah seemed to enjoy it as well

Owen's 1 yr pictures

We went to finally get Owen's 1 year pictures.  (Ignore the fact that he will be 14 months next week!)  Here are a few of the adorable shots!  There are lots more... these are just my favorite.

Impression 5

7/15/11

Last Friday we met the Anderson's at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing.  I had not been to Impression 5 in about 4 years.  They recently renovated the First Impression Room.  It is absolutely perfect for 1-4 year olds.  Noah and Owen loved both the play area and especially the water room.  I overlooked the big bold words on the website saying to bring a change of clothes... luckily I had Owens swimsuit in the car since he was soaked head to toe.

They had so many great toys for Owen's age group

Owen's first hair cut

7/8/11

We took Owen downtown to get is first official hair cut.  He did a great job and sat pretty still for the most part!  With his new hair cut he is looking like a toddler now!

Look at all that hair!

Kristen did a great job on Owen's first hair cut!

Binder Park Zoo

7/7/11

We visited Binder Park Zoo on Thursday.  Our trip started out a bit rough with a cranky baby, but once we switched strollers and filled his tray with snacks we had a great day!  We walked through the regular part of the zoo and we were a bit disappointed.  Besides seeing 1,000 kangaroos (which Owen loved) most of the other animals were MIA.  Although we were chased by a peacock.

Biggest turtle I've ever seen!
We took Owen into the Children's Zoo where he got to go for his first train ride. He also got to climb on a dinosaur and run though a tunnel... which he had a melt down in and Erik had to retrieve him by climbing through the tunnel as well. :)

He loved climbing on this

After lunch we went over to the Africa part of the zoo.  This was by far the best part.  Owen loved the giraffes and zebras.  He also liked the monkeys, as he was pointing to them and making the ohh ahh ahh sounds.
