Isle of Palm Beach & Fort Moultrie

After a lunch and a failed attempt to get Owen and Noah to nap we took the boys out to the beach.  They loved the big waves that were coming in with a storm.  Nikkia found a crab for the boys to look at and we hunted for shells for Ms. Amy (Owen and Noah's teacher at daycare).  We came back to the house as the storm got closer and the boys played in the hammock and with magnetic lawn darts in the open area under the house.  I like that we can be outside yet protected from the elements under the house.    We changed out of our beach clothes and drove to Sullivan's Island about 5 miles away and went to Ft. Moultrie.  We got our passports stamped and took a quick tour until we were hit with rain showers.

South Carolina Aquarium

We went to the South Carolina Aquarium this morning.  It took us a bit longer to get to the aquarium because the main bridge was closed for a bridge run.  It was an amazing aquarium and super kid-friendly!  Owen loved the "fishy zoo" so much.  His favorite part was the large aquarium in the middle of the building.

When we walked up we didn't even notice the turtle because it was hidden in the corner and looked liked a rock

Spring Break 2012: Charleston

3/30/12

After 15 hours in the car we made it to Charleston!  We got settled into our rental (which is wonderful), and then we took the boys out to the ocean.  As you can imagine they absolutely loved the water.
