It's a sad day. Our family blog has reached its capacity for photos, which is the entire point of my blog. Therefore it is moving! ( I refuse to pay the $2.99 a month for more space) I will be setting up a new blog and posting all of our activities from Thanksgiving to now over the weekend. If you receive our blog updates via e-mail have no worries I will add your email to our new blog. If you want to jump online the site will now be: http://ejosmith.blogspot.com/
Erik and I have been married for five years, and we are proud to announce the arrival of Owen, born on May 28th,2010. We have family spread out all over the U.S. so we decided to start a blog to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with The Smiths. :)

Owen Smith is Student of the Month!
11/14/12
Owen was awarded Greyhound Early Learning Center's Student of the Month Award for Visual Arts. We attended the school board meeting tonight where he, along with others, were acknowledged for their visual art skills. Owen was the first to be presented with his award. He did a great job standing and smiling while our curriculum director listed all of his artistic abilities. His classroom teacher said, "Owen is always the first in line for art projects and he always colors in his entire project." There was more, but I can't remember all that was said. Overall he did a great job, even saying "Thank you" to all the board members as he tried to shake their hands.

3 Birthdays
11/5, 11/9, 11/14
Over the last week we have celebrated 3 birthdays in my Family. On November 5th Zach turned 25. On the 9th my Grandpa Ellis turned 80, and today my Dad turned 58. Here are a few pictures from all the celebrations. I forgot my camera when we went over to my Grandpa's... I'll have to steal some pictures from my mom and add them later.

Happy Halloween
10/31/12
Halloween was quite the adventure this year with three 2 year olds! We stopped at Grandma Julie and Grandpa Jim's to trick or treat before heading over to my grandparents. Owen, Chloe, and Noah trick or treated at Great Grandma Eva's and Great Grandpa Ellis's house before heading into town. The three toddlers did a great job in town they made it an entire block! All three ran up to the doors and said trick or treat and thank you. We lasted about 45 minutes before heading back to our house where Noah and Owen played. Grandma Krissy and Grandpa Ricker came over to see the boys in their costumes and give out their trick or treat goodies.

Carving Pumpkins
10/30/12
We finally carved Owen's pumpkin on Tuesday night. Owen pulled out a few seeds then was over carving the pumpkin, he just wanted to play with his toys. Lucky for me Erik cleaned out the pumpkin so I could carve a face out

Family Fun Night- Trick or Treating
10/29/12
On Monday Owen's School had their annual Family Fun Night- Trick or Treating. Owen made it to all the class rooms and collected all his treats. In the activity room Owen and Noah played in the sensory table. They were too impatient to wait for the cake walk and bean bag toss, so we headed for the gym for the boys to run around and burn off some energy.

The Country Mill
10/27/12
On Saturday afternoon we went over to The Country Mill. Owen and Noah walked through the pumpkin patch and picked out their pumpkins. We pulled them down the path to look at the catfish in the pond and to climb the big hill. Owen decided to run down the hill giving Erik and myself multiple heart attacks. The boys played on the playground and each had a very long pony ride. We ended our trip with cider and doughnuts Both boys were exhausted by the end of our visit.
