Play date @ the Anderson's

7/25/12

Wednesday morning we went over to the Anderson's for a play date with Noah. The boys managed to destroy both the playroom and their living room! Both boys were worn out by noon. We left for a nap and later dinner. After dinner the Anderson's met us at my parents house swim.

Cross Country Picnic @ Columbia Creek Park

7/24/12

Tuesday night we went to Columbia Creek park for Erik and Rick's cross country team's picnic. They have a small playground where Owen played for most of the picnic.

7/20/12

Noah came over for an afternoon play date on Friday. The boys played outside in the water table for a bit before heading inside to play. Once nap time hit both boys started slowing down but refused to nap so they watched a few episodes of Mickey's Clubhouse. While the boys were playing Erik roped Ryan into helping him build a deck platform outside of his barn with the left over wood from out back deck. Both Noah and Owen help pound in the last few nails.

Potter Park Zoo

7/14/12

On Sunday Owen and I went to Potter Park Zoo with Uncle Zach and Grandma Julie. Uncle Zach's friend's daughter, Bristol, was having a birthday party at the zoo and invited Owen. Bristol's zoo birthday party was a really neat experience. The zookeepers brought out animals for everyone to touch. Owen would only touch the bunny and ferret out of the many animals, but he really liked seeing all of them. After the birthday party finished we power walked through the zoo. It was so hot, I now know why we go to the zoo early in the morning... it was too hot and most of the animals weren't in their exhibits due to the heat. As always the penguins were Owen's favorite part.

Rosy Mound

7/13/12

We woke up bright and early this morning to go to Lake Michigan. This was our first trip to the lake this summer. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. It was a bit overcast and not too hot. The lake was a little chilly, but that didn't stop the boys from running in and out of the lake.
