A Green Tubby Time

8/26/11

Owen was given colored tablets to put into this bath from the Anderson's.  We tried them out on Saturday.  He was in shock watching the colors dissolve, and not quite sure what to think of the green water when he got in.  In the end I think he really like them, and the best part they don't stain anything!

Color tablets.  Very cool, and highly recommended for tubby times.

Dam Festival

8/27/11

Eaton Rapids held it's annual Dam Festival this last Saturday.  We took Owen down to Millers where he got to look at the classic cars (Grandpa's Mustang), go into the one room school house, visit the Jean Kline block of historical business, and visit the animal petting area.  Owen got to go on his first pony ride. He loved it so much, he was trying to make the pony go faster.  Needless to say when they stopped walking the ponies he started screaming.

Smith dinner

8/26/11

Uncle Scooter and Aunt Lori came to town last night.  Owen and I went over to the Smith's for dinner and to visit.   Erik, unfortunately, had to attend the varsity game in Leslie.  Owen was excited to go out back and see the cows.  Krissy told me he was moo-ing at the cows, and apparently one had a smashed in face that looked like a pig so he was snorting at that one.  He also was scolding Buddy saying, "no, no, no" because he was barking at the cows.  After dinner Grandpa Ricker took Owen for a tractor ride.

Friday Fun-day

8/26/11

Friday morning Nikkia and I took the boys over to Impression 5.  Owen and Noah had a blast in the Toddler room again.  It was great seeing all the different things they were interested in this time around.  What a difference 2 months makes!

He loved playing with this thing

The boys playing... Impression 5 got new smocks for the water table.  They work much better than the rain coats.

Owen's waterfall.  He refused to move from this spot.

All the other kids tired of the water table.  Not my nugget.  I swear he would play in the water all day.

After 2 fun filled hours we left Impression 5.  Both boys fell asleep within minutes of being in the car.

Summer Play dates with the Andersons & Pizza

8/24/11

The Anderson's came over Wednesday night for a play date.  Noah and Owen love running around our house together.  Unfortunately it was about 80 degrees in our house with our portable AC running on high!

Our precious angel...

8/21/11

Our precious angel has been coloring up a storm... on our walls!  We've been coloring daily at his new table on the jumbo sized paper Grandma Krissy got Owen.  After coloring a masterpiece I put all of his crayons into his crayon box and went into the kitchen to make dinner.  While preparing dinner I realized it was awfully quiet in the living room.  I snuck around the corner to see what Owen was up to.

Look above Owen's guilty face on the wall...

Needless to say I freaked out.  Thank goodness crayola is washable, and now that I know he can open his crayon box it is out of reach at all times.

ZBB& Kenny

8/20/11

Erik and I bought each other Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney tickets for Valentines day.  Last Saturday we finally got to use them.  We spent the day in Detroit enjoying lunch at Cheli's, and the tailgating party on Brush Street pre-concert.  Uncle Kracker, Billy Currington, and Zac Brown Band all opened for Kenny.  I didn't get very many good shots of the concert... I think it's time for a new camera! :)  Here's the best of the night.
