Easter 2012

Saturday we went to my parents house to dye Easter eggs and have Owen do his Easter Egg hunt.  I was surprised how excited and eager he was to find all the eggs.  I really wish I would have had my video camera to capture his searching for eggs pose.  On Easter Owen woke up to 20 eggs hidden in the hallway, kitchen, and living room of our house.  He quickly found all of the eggs opening them and spilling his goldfish everywhere! He was excited for his Easter basket and demanded to "paint" as soon as he saw the watercolor paint.  We went to my grandparents house Sunday night for a delicious dinner and Owen hunted for eggs with Chloe.  It was a wonderful Easter spent with family and a great way to end our Spring Break.

Isle of Palm Beach & IOP Strip

Today was pretty low key for Owen and I.  We stayed at home with Nikkia and Noah while Erik and Ryan went to Patriots Point and to the lost batteries of Sullivan's Island.  While at the beach we found a starfish that the boys loved looking at.  After nap time we went downtown to the IOP strip where we did some shopping and ate Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream which Owen wore more than he ate.  After dinner we went back to the beach for the last time.  The tide was so high that it was almost to the top of the path we walk onto the beach.  Owen was a bit scared of how high the water was along with how big the waves were.  Overall we had a wonderful spring break and we are packed and ready to hit the road tomorrow.

Owen loved the starfish

He liked poking it...after I told him he couldn't stomp it.
