Vacation Bed

We ordered Owen a big kid blow up bed to take on vacation with us.  Since he now weights more than what is allowed for his pack-n-play we had to find something that he could sleep on for spring break.  OneSteapAhead.com  is a great website filled with amazing things for babies and toddlers.  We found this air mattress that has sides on it so he won't roll off the bed.  We blew it up and he played on it for a while with his cars from Valentines day.  I'm thinking we are going to have to see if he will sleep on it before we head to Charleston.  Fingers crossed he likes it!

Valentines Day

Owen made super cute valentines gifts for his Grandparents.  He also had his first school valentines day party.  He told us he had fun and he showed us all of his valentines cards from his friends.  We went up to the basketball game.  Owen played with his "buddy Noah" and ran around the gym chasing basketballs.

Christmas in February

Owen got his last Christmas gifts today.  My Aunt and Uncle in California sent Owen and Chloe their Christmas gifts in December, but my Grandparents mail had already been stopped and forwarded to Florida.  Needless to say the gifts went to Florida, back to California, and they've finally made it back to us!

It could not have been better timing since one of the gifts for Owen was new bath toys.  This week Owen has decided that he is terrified of the floating fuzzies in the tub.  Yes, the fuzzies that come off his body from under his arms and between his toes.  I made the mistake of saying "oh no, there is a fuzzy... don't let it get you."  This led to a week of him refusing to get into the tub, us holding him and basically trying to sponge bath him while he screamed "No WAY FUZZIES" for an entire week.  Thankfully the new cars and roads tubby toys excited him enough to get back into the tub and play.

On Sunday we went over to the Smith's house to celebrate Kris and Scott's birthdays. We ate lunch together and Owen played with his wrestling guys.

SuperBowl Party

The Anderson's came over for our Superbowl party on Sunday.  Nikkia and I both tried out recipes that we found on Pintrest.  Nikkia made crescent pepperoni roll ups and I made cheddar bacon ranch pulls both were easy and delicious.   The boys enjoyed playing together and the adults enjoyed the commercials and game.

We bought an Ipad a few weeks ago for our upcoming birthdays.  We love it... but not as much as Owen does!  We have gotten him a couple free apps that practice his abc's and one that practices his shapes.  It's amazing how easy technology comes to a 20 month old!

Winterfest 2012

We went to the winterfest Friday night at ERHS.  Owen and Noah played, ran the ramp, and ran laps in the old gym while the DJ was setting up for the dance.  Both boys loved it when they turned off the gym lights to check the DJ's strobe lights.  We had to leave at half time of the boys game because both boys were beyond tired.  Both the girls and the boys ended up winning against Charlotte. Erik stayed to chaperone the dance and Owen and I came home.  Owen was exhausted and fell asleep pretty quickly.  He woke up at 11 crying and when I checked on him I realized he had gotten sick- EVERYWHERE!  It was a nightmare... I got him changed, his bed change, and his crib scrubbed down.  Erik came home and held him while I finished cleaning and starting laundry.  We thought he was feeling better and were thinking about putting him back in bed when he got sick all over Erik and me.... YUCK!  Needless to say it was a long night.  He was back to 100% and going 110 mph in the am.

Tractor Rides

Owen loves going for tractor rides with Grandpa.  Owen helped Grandpa Jim finish plowing our driveway and rode down to their house on the "blue tractor."

Dateline Friday

We hang out with the Anderson's frequently on Fridays.  Noah does not go to daycare on Fridays so its nice for the boys to hang out together.  We also enjoy eating pizza, having a few adult beverages, and watching Dateline with Nikkia and Ryan.
